  1. Correct path for Video - Top
When you want to use Video from Ark Webs, you should create a video subdirectory:  /public_html/video, and put all your video files there.

Then your .wvx file, will contain an address with this format:

    http://fulldomainname/video/withoutexcuse.wmv

The "subdirectory" is a subdirectory of your domain-www directory.

    So for example:

    http://arkwebs9.com/video/withoutexcuse.wmv

    Notice:
The above address goes in the .wmv file, not in your HTML code. Your HTML code calls the .mvx. Then the ..wmx is used to call up the .wmv file.

  4. What is the charge for putting Videos on the website? - Top
We offer this Free to our customers. Just make a directory called /video/ in your root directory and place your media files there. This will allow you to post video files to be downloaded and watched to by your sites visitors.

  5. How do I use Video in my site? - Top
Using Video on your account is very easy.

You should have a folder called: video in your main web directory. If not, just create one. So, if your domain name is your.com , then your real folder will be your.com/video..

This is where you will put your .wmv files (the actual video file) and .wvx (a text file that simply points to the .wmv file, this is also the file that you link to in your website) files.

This is an example: You must have a .wmv file. This is your actual video file. Name it firstvideo.wmv right now. Now, upload it in BINARY to your folder called video. Next, create a text file, and call it firstvideo.wvx. Now, place the following line of text in the text file: http://www.your.com/video/firstaudio.wmv (Remember, the actual path must be your domain name in place of your.com)

Now, upload this file in ASCII to your folder called mp3. Go to your web page, where you are going to create a link to the test file, and CREATE A HYPERLINK to:
http://your.com/video/firstvideo.wvx  to have the file stream online or create a link to the http://your.com/video/firstvideo.wmv file to have the file downloaded.

(Again remember, the ACTUAL path must be your domain name in place of your.com). Now save the page, and view it via the net. CLICK on the link, and it should play the file or download it.. That's all.

This is an example of a file we have on one of our ministry sites:

Without Excuse click on it to watch online.

Without Excuse click on it to download. (Right click link and select save target as)
